The Government of Canada is seeking proposals from organizations who are willing to provide Training and Labour Market Services to the individuals who self identify as being part of the above noted group. These services were formally provided to this group by OMAA which has recently ceased operations.

The Metis Nation of Ontario (MNO) is submitting a Proposal to the Government of Canada to provide these labour market development programs and services to you. We need to hear from you to ensure our proposal meets your needs. If you self identify as part of this client group we want to hear from you:

  • What are your Training and Labour Market Development needs?
  • Where are you located?
  • How do you prefer to be served?
    • In person or by virtual service
    • As an individual or in a group setting
    • In your community or in a major centre
  • What unique needs do you have and how can we meet them?
  • What are the positive aspects of the OMAA run service you would like us to maintain and where could improvements be made?
  • Any additional comments regarding training and labour market programs and services?

The answers to these questions will help us create a proposal tailored to your needs. These programs and services are designed to help you "Prepare for, obtain, retain and maintain meaningful and sustainable employment " in accordance with the mandate of the Aboriginal Human Resources Development Strategy (AHRDS).
