The Métis
Employability Program provides a framework, which allows MNOTI
to contract with external service providers/coordinators to
deliver a range of employment services in cases where it is
deemed to be the most effective way of meeting clients' needs.
Some of the types of services that may be offered under MEP
are:
•
counseling
• financial planning
• job finding clubs
• sessions on job search strategies
• labour market information
• labour exchange services
• case management
• diagnostic services
• job readiness
• literacy or upgrading
The goal of the MEP Program is to help clients develop skills that
prepare them for the job market.
Criteria for Coordinators:
•
coordinators must possess the appropriate qualifications
and expertise to develop, implement and manage the project.
• they must demonstrate the capacity to control and
administer funds.
• the coordinator must also indicate a commitment to
employ staff that possesses the appropriate qualifications
and expertise.
